Christmas 2015 Forecast

Christmas Eve - Christmas Eve should see temperatures well above average for this time of year. The day looks likely to feature a mixture of rain showers, dry cloudy periods and sunny spells. Maximum temperatures look likely to be around 10°C, meaning the last minute present dash will be conducted this year in unseasonably warm conditions. Strong winds will feature mostly in the morning, however these should ease going into the afternoon. The evening will be cloudy but mostly dry, temperatures still very mild at 5°C. Conditions should then continue to be cloudy but dry in the run up to midnight, with temperatures much higher than average for this time of year.

Christmas Day - Father Christmas's present delivery over Dudley and the Black Country will again encounter no weather problems with temperatures on the very mild side. Conditions overnight will be mild but dry. Winds should subside gradually during the course of the night, with infrequent gusts and moderate winds by morning. An overnight low of 5°C will see no risk of frost. Christmas morning will start cloudy but dry, however rain will move in from late morning leading to heavy rain showers. The day will continue in the same form with a maximum temperature of 10°C, so if you're out for a Christmas Day walk it may be best to take an umbrella! Christmas Day evening will be showery with skies still overcast, temperatures remaining around 10°C. Winds will be light in the evening and on into the night. A very mild Christmas, even more so that last year, temperatures getting nowhere near freezing.

Boxing Day - The early hours of Boxing Day will be wet with temperatures mild at around 10°C. Again a similar day to Christmas day, with clouds and showers likely at any point of the day. A wet start to the morning will set the scene for the whole day. Temperatures in the afternoon steady at 11°C and rain showers, some heavy continuing. The evening will bring much of the same temperatures, steady at 9°C by 9pm, rain showers continuing. Quite windy throughout the day and overnight with the potential for it to be quite gusty at times. Temperatures will stay warm, with heavy overnight rain possible.
