Christmas Day - Father Christmas's present delivery over Dudley and the Black Country may encounter a slightly bumpy ride. The overnight conditions are expected to be wet and windy with intermittent rain and gusty conditions. Temperatures will be very mild at 10°C . Winds should subside gradually as we enter mid-morning, with infrequent gusts and moderate winds developing. Due to the mild conditions and rain, there will be no risk of frost. Christmas morning will see showery rain, some prolonged and some heavy. The day will continue in the same form with a maximum temperature of 12°C, so if you're out for a Christmas Day walk it may be best to take an umbrella! Christmas Day evening will be showery with skies still overcast, temperatures remaining around 10°C. Winds will continue to be moderate in the evening and on into the night. A very mild Christmas, very much in the same style as last year, temperatures getting nowhere near freezing.

There seems to be a change on the cards from the recent mild weather, which looks set to occur during Boxing Day. Temperatures will start to fall and by mid-morning will be around 1°C. A dry day with sunny spells will set the scene for the whole day. Temperatures in the afternoon steady at 5°C and sunshine will make for a very pleasant, if cool day.
